MARCANTE TESTA
Architectural duo Marcante Testa, once again named one of the world’s 100 most visionary creatives by AD France, designs elegant, colourful interiors and collaborates with brands such as Ex.t, GTV Thonet, Carpet Edition and Archiproducts. Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Testa also teach at the IED Torino design school. The couple work from an old warehouse on the north side of Turin. ‘We were both born and raised here and we don’t want to leave,’ they say. ‘There is so much to do in Turin in terms of culture: from the museum in the Rivoli Castle to the Ettore Fico Museum and of course the annual Artissima art fair.’ What do they like to do most in their hometown? ‘Walking along the Po, which crosses the entire city. Along the route you will find rowing clubs where you can have lunch or dinner. Or when the weather is nice, have a picnic in the park, for example at the Orti Generali on the south side of the city.
At the weekend there is a kiosk open where you can have lunch.’
