For designers Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Testa, Venice -the most decoratively rich city in the world- has been an irresistible field of research. The renovation was performed on a 19th century building and included both the common areas and the apartment on the top floor.

A highly designed space, where décor is an integral part and an extension of the architecture and of the personalities of those who live there. And where tactile sensibility and original craftmanship are acknowledgeable in the design of the partitions in metal and glass, which give the living areas an easy fluidity.

Another partition, in the hallway near the sleeping quarters, is a structure that follows the geometry of the original wood flooring and leaves us to admire the dynamic balance of different materials. The veiled and variable Venetian lighting reflects off the wallpaper in shady nuances and interacts with the subtle colours of the bedrooms.
